Tata Motors is going to reveal its first electric vehicle for Indian market in September this year. This electric platform is going to based on the existing Tiago and likely to be named as Tiago EV. Tata Motors along with TMETC(Tata Motors European Technical centre) have been working on electric vehicles for quite some time. Due to the low cost nature of the vehicle and higher battery costs this combination might help to keep the net price cost of the vehicle low.
Tata Motors has been investing heavily on the R&D and has recently restructured the entire organization so as to achieve more output of the employees. Their last feat of launching Tata Hexa into full fervour has been a bit disappointing, however Tata Motors is refreshing the brand in terms of TAMO and is soon set to launch a Sports car proving the capabilities of the Automaker.
